In Christ there is no longer Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for all are one in Christ. ~Galatians 3.28.
Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. ~Romans 15.7
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. ~ Matthew 22.37-39.
Winslow Congregational Church ~ United Church of Christ is located in Winslow, Maine. The building is nestled along the bank of the historic Kennebec River where it has stood since 1796. Built using timber frame design, this structure served as the town’s first meetinghouse until 1828, when it became the current Winslow Congregational Church.
Our church family, as the body of Christ in the world, affirms all God’s children and welcomes them with open arms. All are welcome at God’s table and as full participants in our church life, regardless of societal labels. Our congregation is composed of a unique blend of people, from near and far. We value free thinking, difference of opinion, and exclude no one from any discussion or event. We approach faith with an open mind, and acknowledge that each person is on a unique faith journey. As a congregation, we enjoy numerous spontaneous, annual, and community events. We take an active part in charitable works in our community and beyond.
No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome in this Church. Please join us each Sunday for Worship and Children’s Sunday School. Nursery is available during the service.
